The Dorchester County community is mourning the tragic loss of Bradley Jacob Phillips, 33, of Summerville, South Carolina, who died following a three-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in Dorchester County.
According to the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office, Bradley Jacob Phillips suffered fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene approximately one hour after the collision occurred. Officials confirmed that the incident happened around 12:23 p.m. along S.C. 61 near the Summers Corner area.
Authorities say the crash involved a 2012 Honda sedan, a 2018 Dodge Ram pickup truck, and a 2022 Ford SUV. Investigators with the South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the Honda sedan, which was traveling west on S.C. 61, lost control before colliding with the two northbound vehicles.
Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and transported the other drivers involved to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions have not been publicly released.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Dorchester County Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
